'IE' error code on LG washers / washing machines stands for INLET ERROR, as refers to the water inlet. This could be as simple of a fix as confirming that your hot and cold water valves are both fully on and fully open.
This can also be indicative of a bad water control valve on your washing machine. Once you have confirmed that your water is connected and all valves are open you will also want to confirm water pressure. This can be a problem for people that have a well and water pressure is not as steady as with city water.
